Dongshin Presbyterian Church started in 1950 and has grown to a congregation of over 4500 people. Presbyterian is primarily a system of church government, but it has also historically referred to a system of doctrine. A presbyterian church, then, is a church which is governed by presuteros, a greek term for “elders”. Also, a presbyterian church is usually Reformed in its doctrine, with its elders believing the Westminster Confession of Faith to be an accurate summary of what the Bible teaches.
We are also broadly Evangelical, meaning that we are neither Roman Catholic nor Eastern Orthodox. However, we embrace all Christians as brothers and sisters in Christ. Also, we welcome and respect people from all backgrounds as human being made in the image of God.
Where are you located in Daegu. I need directions!
Also, when is your English service (what day of the week and what time?)
The service is at 2pm on Sunday. However, I don’t think I can give very good directions. Hopefully Nathan will stop by to answer that.
Hey Kim,
I just saw your message. We are in the Manchon area. If you look on the right hand of this page, you will see a link to “How to get to Dongshin”. There are a couple of maps and an explaination. if you have any other questions email me or the Yonathan ( the web admin), our contact info can be found through the link at the top of the page.
Is your English service still at 2pm on Sundays? Any other services or events?
